Yemen's Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh told the acting German ambassador to Yemen Jan Jerald that the Houthi rebel militia continue to undermine peace and disregard the UN's peace brokerage efforts in the country.
In a meeting with the German diplomat here today, the Vice President said the militia, worst of all, continue to kill civilians and compound the suffering of the people.
The Vice President noted that the Riyadh Agreement between the government and the Southern Transitional Council is being implemented which constitutes a chance to unify the national ranks in the face of the devastating Iranian role in the country.
He also expressed Yemen's gratitude to Saudi Arabia for supporting Yemen and following up on the deal's implementation.
The German diplomat renewed his country's support to Yemen's security and stability and to ending the suffering of the Yemeni people.
