The Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman said that the security and stability of Yemen and Yemen's return as an active member in the Gulf and Arab region represents a major goal for the Arab Coalition which Saudi Arabia leads to support the Yemeni legitimate government.

He noted that the Riyadh Agreement Saudi Arabia brokered between the government and the Southern Transitional Council is a key factor in achieving this, in addition to the support to the efforts the UN Special Envoy to Yemen to reach a comprehensive political solution in the country.

Bin Salman saluted in a series of tweets the efforts of His Excellency President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, and the Yemeni government who supported the Kingdom's proposal to accelerate the implementation of the agreement, expressing confidence in the commitment of the Yemeni rivals to implement the terms of the agreement, and awareness about the responsibility on their shoulders.

He added, "The Yemeni parties 'approval of a mechanism to accelerate the implementation of the Riyadh agreement expresses the serious Yemeni desire for dialogue, solving disputes and differences, accepting one another and seeking political partnership."
