Parliament expresses concern over Houthi militia's violations

The Parliament's Presidency Board expressed extreme concern over continuous violations committed by Houthi militia and issuing death verdicts against citizens, activists, journalists and parliamentarians and seizing their houses.

" In this difficult times our people and country are experiencing over corona pandemic and the savagery of the coupists, who are waging war in different areas … Houthi rebel militia continues its crimes against citizens in their held areas by killing, torturing and creating illegal courts and entities for legitimizing their wildness for killing, looting, harming and practicing revenge against any opposition," said a release issued by the Board on Wednesday.

The parliament confirmed in the release rejection to measures by the so-called Sana'a Parliament for canceling immunity of 12 new parliament members just for seizing possessions of these parliament members as they did with former ones.

The release confirmed that the legal parliament has convened in 13 of April 2013 in Sayoon city and elected its leadership as the legal parliament to Yemen and to its people and that Sana'a parliament is non-existing parliament and is considered a mere means at the hand of a militia for legitimizing their killing, looting and arresting.

The parliament called on the international community to pressure Houthi militia to stop its crimes against parliament members and citizens of Yemeni people and to re-pay the possessions of MPs.
