Minister of Information Mua'mar al-Iryani discussed Monday with Egyptian Counterpart Osama Haikal information cooperation between the two countries and means of improving them.
The two parties discussed also political and military situations in Yemen and Houthi militia's continuous stubbornness regarding maintenance work to Safir Oil Tanker, floating on the Red Sea, the potential dangers on the Red Sea and regional countries could be resulted from oil leaking from the tanker.
Al-Iryani praised Egypt's positions supporting Yemen and the internationally-recognized government, pointing out that these positions reflect deep-rooted brotherly relations between the two countries.
Minister al-Iryani expressed aspirations for training Yemeni journalists in Egyptian information institutions and making use from Egyptian media expertise.
" We hope from brothers in Egyptian media outlets to shed lights on Yemen's issue and making space for covering this vital file… and spread awareness among Egyptian public opinion on the realty of Houthi militia's coup {against the state} and its dangers on Arab national security," said al-Iryani.
He confirmed that attempts of splitting Yemen will have negative results on the security, stability and unity of the region.
For his part, the Egyptian official reconfirmed his country's firm position towards regaining the state in Yemen and support to Yemen's unity and stability, confirming that Yemen's security and stability is prime pillar in Egypt's security and stability and the region.
The two parties agreed on preparing draft agreement for information cooperation in different fields and signing it during the meetings of the Yemeni- Egyptian Supreme Committee to be held next few months.
