The Charge d' Affairs of Yemen's Embassy in Nairobi Abdulsalam al-Awadhi discussed Wednesday with the Director of the Middle East Department at Kenyan foreign ministry Arthur Andambi measures of granting Yemeni citizens visas to Kenya.
In the meeting held through video conference, al-Awadhi pointed out to potential environment disaster because of Houthi militia rejection to allow to the UN team to check up and do maintenance work to Safir Oil Tanker, which contains around 140 thousand crude oil.
He also pointed out to foreign minister's letters he directed to the United Nations and Security Council regarding the tanker's issue, confirming government's acceptance to suggestions and initiatives made to tackle the issue.
For his part, the Kenyan diplomat confirmed his country's support to Yemen and that Kenya will work through its membership in the Security Council on solving Yemen's crisis in accordance with the three references.
He pointed out that they will work also on finding suitable solutions for granting Yemeni citizens visas to Kenya.
