HAJJAH - SABA
A Yemeni farmer by the name Mohammed Shoee Saheli and one of his sons were injured by the explosion of a Houthi-laid landmine in north Yemen on Tuesday.
A local source said Saheli and his son "were driving from their farm back home as a landmine in the road exploded in Bani Hasan area" of Abs district in Hajjah governorate.
The two men are in the hospital and in "dangerous condition."
Yemeni governmental sources and NGOs say the theocratic Houthi have planted more than a million landmines over the past six years of the conflict with the government. The landmines have caused hundreds of civilian casualties across Yemen.
