Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik and Secretary General of the GCC Dr. Nayif al-Hajraf discussed on Thursday via virtual communication the developments in the Yemeni national scene and the outcomes of Yemen donors conference 2020.
The discussions dealt with the ongoing international good offices and the UN-led peace efforts to make peace in Yemen and unifying actions to counter coronavirus pandemic.
The Prime Minister applauded the leading role of the GCC in supporting the Yemeni people and the underway efforts to reach a political solution in accordance with the three terms of references.
Dr. Ma'een restated that the Yemeni government is keen to re-establish peace, to this end it has been open to all calls and proposals aiming to bring about peace.
The GCC's Secretary General reiterated the GCC's support for Yemen, legitimate leadership and maintaining Yemen's security, stability and Unity.
Al- Hajraf stated that the GCC is very interested in bringing about political solution that ensures re-establishing security, stability and reviving economy activity, and ending the Yemeni peoples suffering.
