RIYADH-SABA
The Arab Coalition backing Yemen's legitimate government against Houthi armed militiamen announced the extension of a two-week ceasefire that expired on Thursday for an additional month.
The alliance's spokesman Col. Turki al-Maliki said the Coalition is extending this overture "to give room for negotiations about a permanent ceasefire, agreement on economic and humanitarian arrangements, resuming Yemen's political process, … and focus of efforts to prevent the outbreak of coronavirus."
The previous ceasefire saw repeated Houthi violations in the form of military escalation and attacks on civilians.
