ADEN - SABA
The Ministry of Public Health and Population called on local, regional and international donor organizations to contribute actively to supporting emergencies and public health activities in the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadhramaut, Taiz and Marib and a number of other governorates affected by torrential rains.
The ministry is seeking to collect finances for its health and environmental sanitation programs.
"The high level of torrents and its mixture with polluted and sewage water constitutes a fertile environment for epidemics, which requires urgent intervention in financing and supporting environmental sanitation programs, and avoiding the emergence of any epidemics," the ministry said in a statement.
