ADEN - SABA
The Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik discussed in a video conference today a number of issues, foremost of which are the preventive measures against coronavirus, a plague prevalent in many world countries.
The Cabinet agreed to extend the closure of the country's land, sea and air ports until further notice, as part of the precautionary measures to confront the global pandemic.
Authorities allow only commercial and relief flights, under certain health conditions laid out by the Chairman of the national emergency committee on coronavirus.
The Cabinet was informed by the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Nasser Ba’oom, on the progress of implementing the precautionary measures and the existing cooperation aid organizations especially King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the World Health Organization.
The Cabinet was also informed by the Minister of Defense on the developments in the field, in light of the Houthi coup militia’s continued failure to adhere to the ceasefire declared by the legitimate government and the Arab Coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Minister said that the theocratic militia are using the ceasefire to continue mobilization and military escalation, in a blatant challenge to international calls for de-escalation to unify efforts against viral pandemic.
