Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhybeh has called for establishing a hospital in Yemen that offers traditional Chinese medicine services alongside modern medical services.

PM chairs meeting to follow up on coronavirus prevention

Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalil chaired a meeting co-held by the National Emergency Panel on Coronavirus and the governors of a number of provinces on Monday.
The organization of the meeting comes against the backdrop of the first confirmed case of covid-19 infection in al-Shaher city in Hadhramout on Friday. Ever since the government implemented precautionary measures including curfew in Hadhramout and no new cases have been reported.
The meeting addressed the commitment of local authorities in the provinces to enforcing precautionary measures from quick tests, and quarantines to social distancing and closing entry ports to the country.
The Prime Minister appreciated the Saudi contribution to the Yemeni budget for fighting coronavirus with USD 500 million.
He expressed his hope in more international support to help Yemen prevent an outbreak of the disease and shore up the capacity of the health sector in fighting the pandemic in case it emerges.
