President of the Republic Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi reiterated his commitment to establish peace that is based on the three terms of reference.

In a telephone call he received from the Chief of the UN Antonio Guterres Friday evening, President Hadi voiced gratitude to the UN's supportive stances in support of Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy.

He also appreciated Guterres' sincere efforts to help Yemen, highly praising his familiarity with Yemen's situations and complexities.

President Hadi reiterated his principled stance toward peace that is based on the three terms of reference including the GCC's Initiative, outcomes of National Dialogue and UNSCRs in relevance, namely 2216".

He said" We appreciate the directives of the UN Secretary General to the special envoy Martin Griffiths to work on and comply with".

President Hadi added" In response to the call of the Chief of the UN we ordered a nationwide cease-fire, joining efforts to control coronavirus pandemic and contributing to make the UN envoy's good offices successful in this regard".

The UN Secretary General stressed the importance of jointly working on achieving the peace that is based on the three terms of reference.

Guterres reiterated his support to the constitutional legitimacy in Yemen and the efforts of President Hadi.
