[07/04/2020 04:43]

TAIZ - SABA
Yemen's various political parties said the southwestern province of Taiz together with other Yemenis is "championing the national republican cause."

The National Coalition of Political Parties said in a statement today it "supports helping the city complete the liberation of the remaining territories under the theocratic Houthi militants' control and restore the function of the state. "

It also said that Taiz "is a civilian society predisposed to live under the umbrella of a state" and so any rebellion against the state is unacceptable.

"The exploitation of the needs of Taiz people - amidst this economic hardship – by any local or regional entity to create non-state militias is unacceptable," said the statement.

The parties appealed to President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the Arab Coalition to expedite the plans and actions to liberate the rest of the city from the Iran-backed militants and break the years long siege the militants lay around the city.
