Human Rights Office in Aljawf governorate documented 55 violations committed by Houthi militia militants against the governorate's population and IDPs in March 2020.
In a press conference held Tuesday in Marib city, Deputy Governor of Aljawf Eng. Abdullah al-Hashidi stated that Houthi militiamen have continued to commit atrocities and crimes against the people of Aljawf.
" killing, displacement, storming and detonating houses, children recruitment, kidnapping, enforced disappearance and disrupting public institutions' activities including health facilities", said al-Hashid.
Director of Human Rights Office in Aljawf Abdulhadi al-Assarar reported 11 thousand cases of deportation from the city of al-Hazm and neighborhoods districts, 31 thousand of pupils have been prevented from pursuing their schooling, 5 thousand teachers have ceased to do their jobs, their salaries unpaid and 7 thousand families fled to Marib governorate.
Adding to that 126 families trapped in their desert upon displacement and 219 families were robbed by Houthi militiamen during their fleeing according to al-Assar.
