Vice President of the Republic (Lt Gen) Ali Mohsen Saleh conducted Saturday a phone call with governor of Taiz governorate Nabil Shamsan.
The telephone conversation touched upon the situations in Taiz and the local authority's efforts improve basic services and maintain security and stability in the governorate.
The precautionary measures to prevent the outbreak of coronavirus were also discussed.
The Vice President commended the courageous battles have been fought by the government's troops in Taiz against Iran-backed Houthi militiamen.
