The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms has demanded the international community to pressure the Houthi militants to release the prisoners in their jails to keep them from possible coronavirus infections.
In a statement to Saba, the Network warned of a disaster if only one inmate happens to catch the novel contagion.
The Houthis have detained and disappeared thousands of Yemeni activists over their refusal to the radical militia's theocratic agenda.
