Roundtable activities on woman's issues held Monday and organized by the ministry of social affairs and labor in coordination with Gender-Based Violence Bloc and the United Nations Population Fund under the motto "International Women's Day- Peace Partners."
Included 25 participants representing National Woman Committee for Security and Peace, public bodies and civil society organizations, the roundtable discussed a number of issues associated with principles of international rules, human rights accords, legal commitments signed by member countries and Resolution 1325 on security and peace and sustainable development's aims.
Director of Woman and Child General Management at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Fa'iza Abdulmajeed pointed out that the aim of the activity, which coincides with the International Women's Day, is crystalizing ideas and viewpoints between the National Woman Committee with civil society organizations to come out with recommendations and suggestions help women get their rights and promote their status in different fields.
The roundtable was enriched with many comments by participants focused on activating international laws for serving woman's issues and improving woman's capabilities for participation in setting up solutions associated with woman's role in security and peace.
