Human rights ministry calls UN for protecting Jawf's people

The Ministry of Human Rights has called the United Nations and international organizations for imminent interference to protect the people of Jawf and opening secured tracks to displaced people, who are under Houthi siege and rocket and armor fire.

Houthi escalation in Jawf and shelling the city by different types of heavy weapons has led to big losses among citizens and public possessions and displaced big numbers of people, mostly children, woman and elders, said the ministry in a release issued Wednesday.

Houthi militia carried out revenge crimes against population, added the release.

The information reveals that 16 people were killed and injured by Houthi sporadic attacks at al-Ghail District, in addition to displacing and forcing out big numbers, bombing three houses, looted trade stores and cars belong to citizens, the ministry added.

It called the international community for imminent interference to stop Houthi escalation against local population, opening shelters and providing different forms of emergency humanitarian and medical needs to civilians and displaced people.
