Baggash breifs German Ambassador on the political developments in our country

RIYADH - SABA
UNder-Secretary of Foreign Ministry Dr. Mansour Baggash met on Tuesday with Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Yemen Carola Muller-Holtkemper.

The discussions focussed on the latest political developments and the developments about the implementation of prisoner-exchange agreement.

Baggash stated that the government is very interested in establishing the sustainable, inclusive and fair peace that is based on the three terms of reference approved nationally, regionally and internationally.

He reiterated the government's committment to the peace option and it has been seeking to reach a political solution that can ensure sustainbale peace in Yemen.

The Under-Secretary of Foreign Ministry blamed the Iranian regime for prolonging the conflict in our country. " The Iranian spoiler policy and support for the Houthi militia is the key factor for prolonging the conflict in Yemen, encouraging the Houthi militia not to engage seriously in peace process", said Baggash.

Concerning to the prisoner-exchnage agreement, Baggash stressed on the importance of implementing it without any reluctance, as it is a humanitarian matter.

The German diplomat confirmed her country's support for the Yemeni government and people. She stated that Germany will continue to conbtribute to the peace efforts to make peace and put an end of the Yemeni peoples' suffering.
