The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani met today, Friday, in Baghdad, with the Special Envoy of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.

Human rights organization documents 756 Houthi violations in one month

The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms said on Monday it had "documented around 756 cases of human rights violations by the Iran backed Houthis " across Yemen in one month.
The organization said the violations, which occurred from 10 December 209 to 10 January 2020, "include direct murder, arbitrary detentions, enforced disappearance, landmine plantings, sniping, and bombing of houses and other properties."
The organization's observer reported "46 cases of murder including of seven adult women and 13 children" of both sexes. Landmines caused the killing of 17 people.
The observers reported eight cases of killing by shooting direct fire and five cases by sniper attacks.
The central Yemen province of Ibb bore the brunt of the Houthi violations, as 13 of the murder cases occurred there.
Among the abuses of massive impact on civilians was the militia's ban of banknotes of the Riyal newly printed by the government and arresting those who use it.
