Engineer Hassan Al-Attas, Director of Projects and Studies Department at the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SPDRY) said that the aim of the SPDRY delegation's visit to the temporary capital Aden is to determine the urgent needs of the governorate in the development and service sectors.

Al-Attas said in an introductory workshop and press conference SPDRY held in Aden today, "During the past few days, the program delegation held many meetings with government and local officials in the city to identify the most important projects of need and implement what can be implemented according to priorities."

The head of SPDRY'S Media Relations and Communication department, Randa Al-Hudhali, explained that the meeting is meant to introduce the goals and projects of SPDRY that come within the framework of the interest of the Saudi government in the brotherly Yemen.

She reviewed the projects implemented by SPDRY in Yemen, which targeted the health sector; six hospitals had their emergency rooms equipped and provided with medical supplies and a dialysis center with a capacity of up to 20 patients was set up. In the education sector, the support included printing 550,609 textbooks and providing 60 buses and 6,000 double tables and chairs to schools.

She said, "The projects of the program included electricity and water" projects.
