The Acting Minister of Water and Environment, Eng. Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, discussed with the UNICEF business team today joint cooperation and support to the water sector in Yemen.
The meeting in Aden addressed the UNICEF's activities in 2019 and its plans for the year 2020.
It discussed the activity of the units recently established by the Water and Environment Ministry and the necessity of activating them in order to be able to perform their tasks.
It was agreed to continue efforts and meetings to improve performance and adhere to the government's directions in this regard, and to the humanitarian response plans in what would better serve Yemeni citizens.
