Civil society organizations in Yemen's central city of Taiz launched a seminar on Saturday to raise awareness on gender violence.
The Alliance of Women Initiatives (a network of women advocate CSOs advocating) organized the event in commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and the ensuing 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence.
The seminar entitled "the Role of Women, Challenges of Status Quo" meant to highlight the violence against women and raise awareness about the dangers of it.
