Ambassador of Republic of Yemen to Canada Jamal Abdullah Assallal chaired Thursday a plenary meeting of Arab Ambassadors Council in Canada.
The session included advisor of Canadian Prime Minister for Defense and Foreign Affairs David Morison and National Security Advisor, Director of Middle East Department in Canadian Foreign Ministry Troy Lollinshki.
The session intended to discuss Arab-Canadian relations and cooperation in different spheres.
Arab Ambassadors voiced appreciation for Canadian vote recently in the UN General Assembly in favor of the Palestinian cause. They also praised the Canadian government's decision not to move the Canadian embassy to al-Quds and Canadian support for the two states solution.
For their own part, the Canadian officials affirmed the Canadian government's support for the internationally Yemeni recognized government represented by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, humanitarian efforts in Yemen and the efforts have been made by the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen to reach sustainable peace puts an end of the Yemeni peoples suffering.
