RIYADH - SABA
Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Dr. Mansour Bajjash, discussed with the German Chargé d'Affairs to Yemen Jan Krauser the bilateral relations between the two countries and political developments on the Yemeni scene.
Bajjash praised Germany for its political and humanitarian support to Yemen and its stand by the security, stability, unity and territorial integrity of Yemen. He cited the German help through the UN Security Council to resolve the issue of the Yemeni floating oil tank of Safir which Houthis refused to allow UN experts to access it with maintenance that ends its danger of standing for years without maintenance and threatening an environmental disaster.
He stressed the need to exert more pressure on the Houthi militia to resolve this issue in order to avoid an environmental and humanitarian catastrophe that could affect Yemen and other countries overlooking the Red Sea.
