Yemen calls donors for more support for development projects

Yemen has participated in the first ministerial meeting of the Islamic Organization for Cooperation on development held here on December 7-9 by a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Sadeq al-Juma'i.
Al-Juma'i reviewed in his speech he delivered in the conference government's role in providing social services to different people categories and taking care of qualification and training programs and projects, and projects for woman, child and elders.
The government carried out a number of activities concerning woman's development and trained 8253 trainers in productive training and qualifying centers in addition to supporting and encouraging female organizations vocations and cooperatives, he said.
He pointed out that the government is committed to international accords and laws regarding children and protecting them against child soldiers and being sent to warfronts and the government provided support and help to all efforts for rehabilitating soldier children and taking them back to schools, especially after Houthi militia included about 45 percent of its fighters from children.
He pointed out that the government carried out a number of projects targeted people of special need, including supporting more than 7 centers and 24 societies.
