Vice President of the Republic (Lt Gen) Ali Mohsen Saleh met on Wednesday with the Chinese Ambassador to Yemen Kang Yong.
The session intended to discuss the latest developments about the situations in our country and Yemeni-Chinese bilateral ties and cooperation.
Mohsen praised constructive relationship between the two friendly countries, highly appreciating China's substantial contribution to the development drive in Yemen and Chinse support to the legitimate government.
The Vice President briefed the Chinses diplomat on the latest developments about the situations in the Yemeni national scene including peace efforts. He affirmed that the legitimate leadership headed by President Hadi is committed to bring about permeant peace based on the three terms of reference. He also touched upon Riyadh Agreement describing it as a significant step forward to reinstate the official authority and institutions.
For his part the Chinese Ambassador pointed out to the Yemeni-Chinese relations, noting that his country is ready to further increase bilateral ties and cooperation between the two countries.
Mr Yong reiterated his country's support for Yemen's security, stability and legal authority.
