The Prime Minister DrMa'een Abdulmalik affirmed that legal demands of the civil servants, military and security personnel in the southern governorates who unfairly dismissed earlier will be addressed as it is a government's duty can't be relinquished.
His statement came as he met Monday in the interim capital Aden with the representatives of the military and security servicemen who staged a sit-in in front of the Republican Palace to of protest against the grievances they suffered in the past period, demanding solutions to their complaints.
Ma'een ordered to pay the military and security personnel unpaid salaries for this year immediately. He stated that it’s the government's responsibility to ensure regular salary pay for the government's employees. To this end, he ordered setting up a committee to follow up the implementation of the directives in this regard.
The Prime Minister heard the complaints about the grievances the protesters raised, expressing his understanding to their demands, promising to work hard to address their complaints within available resources at this critical stage.
