Planning, industry ministries discuss food security's issues

Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation NizarBasuhaib and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Salim al-Wali discussed Thursday mechanism of coordination and cooperation between the two ministries in food security.

Basuhaib discussed also with Deputy Minister of Education for Projects Sector Mohammad Basaleem implementing the education project in cooperation with UN High Commission for Refugees.

He stressed significance of coordination between the two ministries from one hand and coordination with international organizations from another for implementing projects of priority.

On the other hand, Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nizar Ba-Suhaib discussed with Director of Displacement Situations Matrix at International Organization for Migration Simon Holadie mechanism of conducting the field survey in targeted provinces.

He stressed that the Central Organization for Statistics must be a partner with the organization in conducting the survey to be carried out under the sponsorship of planning ministry.

Basuhaib also signed the basic treaty with Humanitarian Aid and Development Organization represented by the Regional Director al-TiganiBabakr.

The treaty stipulates opening a premise to the organization in Aden and to commence activities in fields of health, nutrition, water, sanitation, development, education and food security.
