The Ministry of Information organized an extensive meeting for media personnel from various government media institutions to clarify the Riyadh Agreement between the government and the Southern Transitional Council.

There is no winner or loser in the Riyadh Agreement," said Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani during the meeting, calling on the government media to ignore provocative rhetoric.

"It is the nation led by President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who won," he said.

"We need a national and moral discourse that highlights the positive image and provides a model for peace and harmony," he said, calling on all journalists and media institutions supporting the government to show the positive side of the Riyadh Agreement- how it serves the national interest and preserves the state's control in various liberated provinces.

The Minister of Information pointed to the importance of prudent media discourse, staying away from heated exchanges, and focusing criticism on the enemy of the Yemeni people, the Iranian-backed Houthi theocratic militia that seized power by force.

Al-Eryani praised the great brotherly role played by Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the direct follow-up of His Highness Prince Khaled bin Salman in order to reach this agreement among Yemenis.
