Human Rights Ministry says 320 women in Houthi jails

Human Rights Minister Mohammed Askar said 320 women have been held in Houthi jails for years on the account of their peaceful opposition to the coupist militia.
In a statement to at conference on Warsaw Conference for Peace and Security in the Middle East host by the US State Department over two days, he said the militia is responsible for killing and inuring women, children and civilians in general in the ongoing war in Yemen.
He said the inclusive National Dialogue which Yemen was concluding when Houthis ignited this war in 2015 had for the first time given Yemeni women 30% of political representation seats.
He called on the UN Security Council to support the government's efforts to enforce the council's resolution no. 2216 as the only way to end the war and bring about peace to the rebellion-torn country.
