Minister of Human Rights Mohammed Asker met Thursday with the Director of Advocacy in the Amnesty International in Middle East and north Africa Philip Naseif.
The session devoted to discuss human rights situations in Yemen and the humanitarian crisis caused by Iran-backed Houthi militia coup in 2014.
Asker detailed Naseif on the wide variety of violations and abuses the Houthi militia has been committing against the Yemeni people on the daily basis.
He cited the militia's violations against civilians including arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances, killing outside law, child recruitment, planting landmines, detonating houses, torture and harassment against activists, journalists and opponent politicians.
Yemen's Ambassador to Washington Ahmed Awadh bin Mubark was in attendance.
