The National Commission for Enquiry into human rights abuse claims began on Wednesday verifying the atrocities which the Houthi militia is accused of having inflicted on civilians and historical sites in Taiz city over the past five years.
The Commission visited Hasanat, Salah and Saber al-Mawadem neighborhoods in the government-held city besieged by Houthi militia.
The Commission's team is collecting testimonies from victims and eyewitnesses who live in the areas.
The Commission is verifying cases of shelling on neighborhoods; bombing of ancient historical sites, civilian properties; displacement of people by force; militarization of schools and blocking of food and medical provisions to the city.
