Experts from the National Program for Mine Action dismantled on Monday 1230 Houthi-laid landmines extracted from different parts of Aljawf in northern Yemen.
The director of the National Mine Action Program Ameen al-Aqeeli said hundreds more landmines and UXOs are yet to be dismantled.
Yemeni government sources say the rebel militia has planted more than half a million landmines across Yemen over the course of the five year long war.
