Higher Education Minister, Russian Ambassador discuss cultural exchange

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hussein Basalameh discussed with the Russian Ambassador to Yemen Vladimir Didushkin the aspects of cooperation between Yemen and Russia in the field of higher education and ways of enhancing them, renewing cooperation agreement and increasing cultural exchange scholarships.
The Minister praised the support provided by Russian to Yemen by providing a number of scholarships in a number of different fields annually, within the framework of cultural exchange between the two friendly countries, hoping to have the number of scholarships increased to allow more Yemeni students the opportunity of pursuing higher education.
For his part, the Russian ambassador affirmed his country's allocation of ten new scholarships to Yemeni students starting from the beginning of next year.
