VIENNA - SABA
Yemen participated today in the 63rd session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria.
In a speech at the conference, the head of Yemen's delegation Ambassador Haytham Shujaa al-Deen pointed out to Yemen's deep concern over the escalating steps taken by Iran in violation of the requirements of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and UN Security Council Resolution 2231 of 2015. He called on Iran to stop the escalation and to fulfil its commitments in the Plan of Action.
He condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on two Aramco oil facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirming that the Yemeni leadership, government and people stand with the Kingdom against all that affects its security and stability.
He pointed out that Yemen welcomes the idea of organizing a conference on the establishment of a zone free of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East next November in New York.
