The Govt rejects politicizing human rights matters in Yemen, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Mansour Bajjash said in allusion to last year's report by the UNHRC's Group of Imminent Experts on Yemen.
In a meeting with the South African ambassador to Yemen on Sunday, Bajjash objected to the extension of the Experts' mandate, saying their report violated the criteria of objectivity.
Discussing the conflict in the country, Bajjash said the government is in working to arrive at a peaceful resolution to the Houthi rebellion in line with the UN Security Council's resolutions and other agreed upon terms of reference.
