Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Barakani held session Sunday brought together the heads of the parliamentarian blocs.

The meeting intended to discuss issues pertaining to the Parliament's missions and actions.

Al-Barakani briefed the leading MPs on the reasons that didn't help to get the Parliament resume its sessions after Eid al-Fiter as it was scheduled; citing underway arrangements to do so in the upcoming period.

He noted that necessary measures and precautions have been taken to secure the Parliament's sessions.

The discussions also touched upon the developments in the national scene including the efforts to put down the coup and reinstate the official authority headed by President of the Republic Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
