Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohsen Saleh arrived in Marib on Thursday to get familiar with the developments about combat operations and efforts to normalize situations in the government-held regions.
General Mohsen received by Minister of Defense (Lt Gen) Mohammed Ali al-Maqdashi and Governor of Marib Maj. General Sultan al-Arradah and enior military commanders.
Upon his arrival the Vice President presided over a meeting devoted to discuss several topics including ongoing combat operations against Iran-allied Houthi militia.
General Mohsen welcomed the newly appointed military commander of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition Forces Maj. General Hamdan Ashammeri, wishing him all the best in his mission.
He expressed thanks for brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holly Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Crown Prince for their support for Yemen in different fields.
The Vice President talked about several developments relating to the situations in Yemen, citing the military escalations by Iran-aligned Houthi militia. He also touched upon Stockholm Agreement blaming the Houthi militia for not implementing the agreement.
