The UAE Red Crescent Agency signed Thursday with al-Faisal Company for Contracts a treaty for importing, installing and operating transfer power plant in Mocha District, Taiz Province.
The 20-MW plant will be launched after 120 days now.
The Secretary General of Mocha Local Council al-AnesiQasem said the plant will completely solve power blackouts in Mocha and will help bring investors to the area, thanking UAE for its support to people in western coast in fields of education, health, water and other services.
For his part, the Director of the Mocha Steam Power Ali al-Ruaini said consuming power in Mocha rose to 10 percent than the period before liberating the district due to great recovery in trade and construction fields.
For his part, the Director of Humanitarian Affairs at UAE Red Crescent Agency Mohammad al-Jenibi said the agency responded to demands of people of Mocha and nearby areas for strategic power projects ending their suffering over repeated blackouts.
He confirmed continuity of implementing relief, service and development projects in western coasts.
