The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani met today, Friday, in Baghdad, with the Special Envoy of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.
The gross domestic product (GDP) in the Eurozone and the European Union (EU) registered a growth of 0.3 percent during the first quarter of the current year compared to the previous quarter.
Foreign Minister Khaled Alyemany received here today credentials from the new US ambassador to Yemen Christopher Henzel.
Alyemany and Henzel exchanged talks on issues of common concern to the two friendly countries.
Alyemany pointed out to the latest developments in regards to implementing the Stockholm Agreement which requires the Houthi militiamen to vacate the ports of Hodeidah for regular government forces.
He emphasized the government's interest in implementing the deal in deeds under mutual observation and verification rather than announced but unverified unilateral withdrawals.
He appreciated the US's role in supporting the Yemeni government and the government's efforts to rebuild the state institutions.
On his part, Henzel emphasized his government's support to the government, political solution in Yemen and to the UN-led peace mediation efforts.
