Yemen has welcomed the call of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia for the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab League to an emergency summit in Mecca on May 30.
A statement from Yemen's foreign ministry confirmed "the solidarity of Yemen with all the steps and measures Saudi Arabia takes" in the wake of the attack on two Saudi oil pumping stations by the Iranian-backed terrorist militia of Houthis and the sabotage attacks on commercial cargo vessels near the UAE territorial waters.
