Yemen's Ambassador to Italy Asmahan al-Tawqi discussed with Italian Special Envoy to Yemen Jean Franko latest developments in Yemen and efforts exerted by the government for realizing peace and alleviating suffering of the Yemeni people over the war triggered by Houthi militia on the state.

Al-Tawqi pointed to the exceptional session the parliament held in Sayoon, Hadhrmaout as significant step for activating legislative authority within the framework of regaining the state and its institutions.

For his part, the Italian envoy renewed his country's support to the government of Yemen and its institutions and realizing peace, confirming Italian support to efforts of the UN envoy to Yemen.
