People in the temporary capital Aden have confirmed their rallying behind President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to activate the state institutions in the city.
In a statement, the participants in Aden's first public consultative meeting on Saturday stressed the imperative of implementing previous presidential decrees to relocate military barracks out of Aden to make use of the evacuated military sites for building service institutions; universities, hospitals, schools and amusement parks.
The meeting, attended by Deputy Premier and Interior Minister, the governor of Aden and other senior local officials stressed the need to improve the situations Aden and ensure that the city is headed towards its desired goal; coexistence among all with a spirit of tolerance and reconciliation, openness to others and rejection of the various forms of terrorism and violence.
