Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

Yemeni fishermen appeal for protection from Iranian vessel in Red Sea

A number of Yemeni fishermen have appealed to the government, the UN and the whole international community to protect them from the Iranian vessel "Savez" that has caused the killing of 100 Yemeni fishermen and disrupted the daily livelihood of 30 thousand others.
The military vessel which disguises as a commercial vessel "supplies the Houthis in Yemen with landmines and naval mines that the rebel militia planted along both sides of Yemen's western coastline," the fishermen said in a statement. The vessel also supplies Houthis with boat bombs.
"We are here to address the concerned international organizations, the countries of the Arab Coalition and the legitimate Yemeni government under the leadership of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to look at the situation the fishermen ended up to as a result of the Iranian vessel does in the Red Sea" and to "force the vessel to leave."
The statement said: "We won't stand by idly (watching) that who confiscates our right to dignified livelihood. We will continue to escalate our protests until the world turns an eye to our suffering."
