The meeting dealt with the project of enabling women economicallythat includes establishing a market for female products being carried out by the ministry in cooperation with the fund.
The meeting discussed UN Resolution 1325 on woman and security and efforts of the ministry of making national action plan to woman and peace and raising it to cabinet for approval and discussed measures for combating gender-based violence.
Minister al-Kamal welcomed cooperation with the UNFPA, with other funds and UN agencies, which provide services to Yemeni people.
For her part, the UN official made a suggestion on training trainers from the social affairs ministry on awareness programs on gender-based violence.
