Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nizar Basuhaib discussed Monday with representatives of High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and International Organization for Migration (IOM) UN organizations' role for facing illegal African refugees' problems.
Coordination between the planning ministry and these organizations regarding refugees issues was also discussed.
The meeting tackled means of dealing with huge numbers of refugees from the Horn of Africa in accordance inconsistence with the government's priorities under the war, which affected Yemeni people themselves, and applying international and humanitarian laws on refugees.
The meeting shed light on the nature and necessary efforts by the international organizations towards refugees and solving their problems, including health and security situations and providing them with food and medicine.
