Prime Minister arrives in United Arab Emirates on official visit

Cooperation between judiciary, IDLO discussed

The Head of the Supreme Judiciary Council Judge Ali Naser Salem presided over on Wednesday a meeting assigned for discussing cooperation aspects between Judiciary authority and International DevelopmentLaw Organization (IDLO).

The meeting, which included Minister of Justice Ali al-Gharib, the Head of National Committee to Investigate Alleged Violations of Human Rights Judge Ahmad al-Muflihi and the IDLO's International Development Advisor Asma'a al-Khadher, discussed the nature of cooperation between the two parties including qualifying judges and prosecution's members in fields of International Law, human rights, international criminal law and applying honesty and transparency.

The discussion also included improving the Supreme Judiciary Institute regarding laws, rights and freedoms and capacity building of judges in fields of humanitarian international system.

Judge Salem confirmed keenness of the council and judiciary authority on enhancing cooperation with the organization and training judiciary cadre for improving performance and improving the institute to keep pace with modern developments.

He confirmed that the judiciary authority witnesses stability and works hard on settling people's issues.

For her part, al-Khadher confirmed solidarity with Yemeni people, pointed out that the organization will provide different support for improving judiciary in Yemen and training cadre.
