Saudi Air Defense intercepts and destroys Houthi drone, says Maliki

The official spokesman of the Arab Coalition backing Yemen Col. Turki Al-Maliki said that the Saudi Royal Air Defenses detected and destroyed a Houthi drone as it flew over Aseer region in the Saudi territories on Sunday evening.

The Saudi Press Agency quoted Maliki as saying that "no casualties or damages resulted from the interception of the hostile drone."

He said that "the recurrent attempts by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia to attack civil properties and civilians through drones and remotely controlled boat bombs and the usage of Hodeidah province as a launchpad for all these terrorist operations take place while the command of the Arab Coalition observer ceasefire in the city as per the Stockholm Agreement."

He warned that the militia's terrorist tactics including suicide attacks will be faced with all the deterrent measures as per the international humanitarian law.
