Foreign Minister Khaled Alyemany held talks on Sunday here with Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sobah Khaled al-Hamad Assobah.
The talks dealt with Yemeni-Kuwaiti bilateral relations and regional issues of common interest.
The discussions also touched upon the latest developments about peace efforts in Yemen in light of the putschist Houthi militia's intransigence and refusal to implement Stockholm Agreement by withdrawing from Hodeidah city, seaports of Hodeidah, al-Salif and Ras Issa, releasing abductees, detainees and enforced disappearances.
Alyemeny stated that it is time for International Security Council and International Community (IC) to press for implementing Stockholm Agreement by pressuring the Houthi militia to carry out its obligations under the UN-brokered agreement.
Alyemeny highly praised the key role of the State of Kuwait in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition for supporting legality in Yemen; deeply appreciating Kuwaiti good offices and contribution to peace efforts.
The Foreign Minister voiced Yemen's desire to further increase political cooperation and coordination between the two countries' foreign ministries and their diplomatic missions abroad. He also underlined the Yemeni diplomats' need for professional training in the Kuwaiti Diplomatic Institute.
The Kuwaiti Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister reaffirmed the State's principled stance in supporting the legitimate Yemeni government to put down the coup and end the Yemeni peoples' suffering.
